Wealth Watchers Inc.

Wealth Watchers Inc. is a HUD-certified Housing Counseling and Community Development organization formed as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in December of 2001. Its mission is to build viable communities by expanding the knowledge of low-to-moderate income individuals for the purpose of understanding the importance of basic finance and accumulation of wealth. This mission is achieved by providing lending and education, neighborhood stabilization, community revitalization strategies and small business services.

Under the leadership of Carrie Davis, or president and CEO, a team of employees and volunteers journeyed to Senegal, Africa recently to foster economic stability for young Senegalese through agriculture and entrepreneurship. During the visit, the team explored the groundbreaking JeufZone Farm, founded by visionary leader Thione Niang.

JeufZone is revolutionizing African agriculture, turning Africa's potential into reality by encouraging young Africans to return to farming. It is taking action with its apprenticeship and business development programs, equipping aspiring farmers with skills and opportunities to secure Africa's food future.

Carrie and Christ Aholiatin, executive director of JeufZone, shared expertice and laid the groundwork for continued collaboration. Together, we're determined to empower the next generation of African entrepreneurs and farmers to thrive!

Scavenger Hunt at the New Town Success Zone Farm

Search, Explore and Discover Healthy Eating Options

Jacksonville, Fla. Jan. 23

Get ready to search, explore and discover unique ways healthy fruits and vegetables can be a daily part of your life. Wealth Watchers Inc. will partner with LISC Jacksonville, New Town Success Zone and Central Fairfax Community Association, Inc. to host a Scavenger Hunt focused on community gardening. The event will be held on Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at the New Town Success Zone Urban Farmacy (1232 Pearce St.).

"This will be an opportunity for families to learn how to grow and harvest fruits and vegetables. We grow everything from kale, cabbage, greens and more. Eating healthy has many benefits. It can reduce the risk of developing heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure and more. It can also boost your immune. We want residents to know they have access to food that will improve their lifestyles,” said Carrie Davis, Wealth Watchers' chief executive officer and president.

The Scavenger Hunt is free. There will be food and prizes. Bundle up and join us for a day of fun as we explore healthy options for the whole family.

The Wealth Watchers Homebuyers Expo provided information about different down payment assistance programs and how to get qualified. Residents learned the ins and outs of homeownership. They had the opportunity to meet realtors, ask questions and get pre-qualified on the spot. They received counseling and much more.
